VumaERP handles payroll compliance automatically for your country, including income tax, social security, and health insurance deductions.

Examples by country:

  • Kenya — PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, Housing Levy
  • Ghana — PAYE, SSNIT
  • Uganda — PAYE, NSSF
  • Rwanda — PAYE, RSSB
  • Tanzania — PAYE, NSSF
  • Nigeria — PAYE, Pension, NHF

Initial setup:

  1. Go to HR → Payroll Settings.
  2. Select your country — the system loads the relevant statutory deductions and tax tables.
  3. Enter your employer registration numbers for tax and social security (e.g. KRA Employer PIN and NHIF/NSSF numbers in Kenya).
  4. Configure your pay period (monthly) and pay date.
  5. Set up salary structures — define basic pay, allowances (housing, transport, etc.), and deductions.

Adding employees:

  1. Go to HR → Employees → Add Employee.
  2. Enter the employee's personal details, Tax ID, social security number, and bank account details.
  3. Assign a salary structure.

Running payroll:

  1. Go to HR → Payroll → Run Payroll.
  2. Select the pay period.
  3. Review the automatically calculated tax, social security, and net pay for each employee.
  4. Approve and process payroll.
  5. Generate statutory reports and schedules for submission to your country's authorities.
