Growth and Pro plans include daily automated backups managed by Vumacloud. Here is how they work.
Backup schedule
Backups run automatically every day, typically between midnight and 6:00 AM server time. You do not need to enable or configure them — they are active by default on eligible plans.
Retention period
Vumacloud retains the last 7 daily backups. This means you can restore your site to any point within the past week.
What is backed up
- All files in your home directory, including
public_htmland all subfolders - All MySQL databases associated with your cPanel account
- Email accounts and their mailbox contents
- cPanel configuration settings, including cron jobs, DNS zone records, and email filters
Starter plan note: The Starter plan does not include daily automated backups. If your website data is important, we strongly recommend upgrading to the Growth plan, or creating your own backups manually via cPanel's Backup Wizard at regular intervals.
