cPanel includes a one-click application installer that sets up WordPress in under two minutes — no manual file uploads or database configuration needed.
Installation steps
- Log in to cPanel and scroll to the Software section. Click the one-click installer icon.
- Select WordPress and click Install Now.
- Set the installation URL — choose your domain from the dropdown. Leave the directory field blank to install at the root of your domain (e.g.
yourdomain.com), or enter a subfolder name. - Fill in the Site Settings: site name and description.
- Create your WordPress admin account: enter a username, a strong password, and an admin email. Do not use "admin" as the username — it is a known security risk.
- Leave the database settings as auto-generated.
- Click Install. The installer creates the database, uploads WordPress files, and completes configuration automatically.
- When complete, links to your new website and the WordPress admin dashboard (
/wp-admin) are shown on screen and sent to your email address.
