Article 3.3: How to Connect VumaMail on Your Devices Print

VumaMail uses AutoDiscover/AutoConfigure, which means you do NOT need to enter server names, ports, or encryption settings manually. Simply add an Exchange account and your client configures itself.

Outlook (Desktop — Windows & Mac)

1. Open Outlook → File → Add Account.
2. Enter your full email address (e.g. you@yourcompany.com).
3. Click Connect.
4. Select Exchange if prompted for account type.
5. Enter your password.
6. AutoDiscover configures everything — incoming, outgoing, calendar, contacts, tasks.
7. Click Done.

Important: Choose "Exchange" — not IMAP or POP3. This gives you the full experience with calendars, contacts, tasks, and shared folders.

iPhone / iPad

1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Microsoft Exchange.
2. Enter your email address and tap Next.
3. Enter your password.
4. AutoDiscover will detect the server automatically.
5. Choose what to sync: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes.
6. Tap Save.

Android

1. Go to Settings → Accounts → Add Account → Exchange.
2. Enter your email and password.
3. AutoDiscover handles the rest.

Thunderbird

1. Open Thunderbird → Account Settings → Account Actions → Add Mail Account.
2. Enter your name, email, and password.
3. Thunderbird's AutoConfigure will detect the server settings automatically.
4. Click Done.
